Bette (Gee) Cranston, age 90, of New Glarus, formerly of Derby, Kansas, died Friday, March 29, 2024 at the SSM Monroe Hospital. Bette was born on May 18, 1933 to Fred and Nina (Thomson) Gee in Arkansas City, Kansas. She married Marvin Cranston in 1955. After graduating from Kansas State University, Bette worked many years in finance and banking before moving to Wisconsin in 2010.

She is survived by a son, Mark (Carol); daughter, Marci (Jim) Hess; three granddaughters; five great grandchildren; a brother, Ronal (Charlotte) Gee; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband;  a sister, Janell Burton; and a nephew, Matt.

Burial of Bette's ashes will be in Parker Cemetery, Arkansas City, Kansas, at a later date. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, WI, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
