Carol A.
Mallory
Apr 21, 1951 — Nov 3, 2026
Monroe
Carol A. Mallory, Age 75, of Monroe, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Collinwood Memory Care in Albany. Carol was born on April 21, 1951, in Monroe, the daughter of Archie Jr. and Betty (Davidson) Gibbons. She was raised in the Catholic faith, attending St. Victor Grade School, and graduated from Monroe High School in 1969. On December 5, 1975, Carol married Patrick J. Mallory in a beautiful ceremony that marked the beginning of their 50 years together. In their early years together, she loved shooting pool with Patrick, sharing many laughs and creating cherished memories together.
Throughout her life, Carol brought her gentle spirit to her work at UTELCO, provided a nurturing home filled with laughter for the children she cared for, and worked as a dedicated medical transcriptionist before her retirement. Carol was a deeply devoted religious person who was a member of several churches through the years and truly loved being involved in the church communities she attended, sharing her warmth and grace with everyone she met. Music was a constant source of joy for Carol; she absolutely loved singing and could always be found singing a song, which made her time as a dedicated member of the church choir incredibly special to her. Family was the absolute center of Carol’s life, and nothing was more important to her than the time they spent together. She treasured every moment spent with them. She was immensely proud of her four children and absolutely adored being a grandmother, finding endless happiness in the time she spent with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick, of Monroe, and their four children: Thomas of Edgerton and his children, Elijah, Pierson, Cheyenne, and Charlotte; Michelle of Monroe and her daughter, Kaelyn; Amber of Monroe and her son, Ryan; and Eric (Kerstin) of Monroe and their son, Tucker. She is further survived by her sisters, whom she loved dearly: Jeanne (Terry) Dariotis of Florida, Barb (Dennis) Engel of Madison, and Jane (Richard) Thoman of Monroe; as well as a large, loving extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Jr. and Betty Gibbons.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
