Catherine C. "Kay" Dwyer
Age 79 of Madison, formerly of Monroe, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. Catherine was born August 13, 1936 in Madison, the daughter of Frederick and Dorothy (Schunk) Olson. She graduated from South Wayne High School in 1954 and attended Madison Business College. She married Jerry Dwyer on October 15, 1966 in Monroe. Kay worked at the First National Bank in Monroe for many years and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe and the Salt and Pepper Shaker Club.
She is survived by a son, Brian J. Dwyer of Madison; and a half-brother, Dan (Jill) Olson of Monona. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry on October 15, 2013; her step-father, John Marty; a sister, Marlys Olson in 1950; and a brother-in-law, Charles (Shirley) Dwyer.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, with Rev. Todd Hackman of St. John's United Church of Christ officiating. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be share at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
