Cindi R.
Ritter
Dec 1, 1959 — May 15, 2025
Cindi R. Ritter
Age 65, of Monroe, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at SSM Monroe Hospice Home. While Cindi's presence will be deeply missed, her loved ones take comfort knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband, Jeff Ritter, and her father, Robert Malzahn.
Cindi most recently made her home in Monroe, WI, where she moved to be closer to her daughter, Jessica and her family. In her time in Monroe, Cindi brought her passion for community and wellness to the Green County YMCA, where she taught aerobics. She also found deep fulfillment serving as the Caring Ministries Coordinator at Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello, a role that reflected her generous spirit and love for others.
Before relocating to Monroe, Cindi lived in Waukesha, WI, where she spent many years as a devoted physical therapy assistant. She found great meaning in her work and touched many lives through her compassion and care. In Waukesha, she remained close to her sons, Clifford and Robert.
Cindi found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved gardening and often referred to her hobby as "playing in the dirt." Her home was surrounded by vibrant plants she lovingly tended. She adored her two spoiled cats, Binx and Berta, and her favorite moments were those spent with her grandchildren (especially swimming and making memories in the pool.) Above all else, Cindi treasured time with her family. Her greatest wish was to live fully and deeply- a wish she fulfilled each day. Cindi's legacy lives on in the lives she touched with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family.
She is survived by her loving mother, Ruth Malzahn; her siblings, Mike Malzahn and Lori Ibiebele, all of Manitowoc; children, Jessica (Kory) Keehn , grandchildren, Helaina, Theodore, and Everhet; Clifford Ritter, granddaughter, Aspen; Robert Ritter, grandsons, Isaiah and William. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert; and husband, Jeffrey.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday August 30, 2025, at 11:00 am at Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello. Visitation will be at the church on August 30, from 10:00 am until the time of service. A luncheon will follow the service. Memorials may be given in Cindi's name in care of Jessica Keehn, W5461 County Road FF, Monroe, WI 53566. The NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, is assisting the family.
