David F. Trumpy

Age 64 of Monticello, died Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home. David was born on June 30, 1954 in Monroe, the son of Floyd and Elaine (Zoller) Trumpy. He graduated from Monticello High School in 1973. David farmed on the Trumpy home farm East of Monticello for several years and later in life found his calling in the cheesemaking business.

He is survived by two daughters, Penny Trumpy and Tori Trumpy, both of Monticello; two grandchildren, Jacob and Isabelle Stumlin; a sister, Beth Hellwig of Brodhead; two brothers, Don (Julie) Trumpy, Dale (Ann) Trumpy, both of Monticello; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Linda Trumpy; and a brother-in-law, John Hellwig.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the VOEGELI-NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 360 S. Garfield, Monticello. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
