Obituary

Diane M. Schuler

Age 62 of Placitas, New Mexico, formerly of Monroe, was called to her eternal resting place on March 17, 2017. She entered this world on June 29, 1954 in Monroe, the daughter of the late Bobbie and Evelyn Schuler. Diane was confirmed at the Monroe United Methodist Church and graduated from Monroe High School in 1972. She began her career at Wisconsin Power and Light, in her parent's footsteps, as a Jr. Clerk. While advancing to new positions within the company, she obtained her B.S. in Business from Edgewood College in 1991 and Executive M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004. Currently Alliant Energy, she culminated her career as Director-Energy Delivery Resources and retired in 2014 after 40 years of service. In April, 2014, she and her husband, Craig Gibbs, relocated to Placitas, NM. Diane adored her kitties and throughout her life supported many animal shelters, particularly Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (UT) where she volunteered numerous times. She was a docent and friend at the Coronado Historic Site (Bernalillio, NM) and active with Jardineros de Placitas while on committee for community service. She tirelessly participated as a volunteer at the Placitas Community Library while serving on its board. Her last venture was as a DJ hosting the "All Things 70's Show" at KUPR 99.9FM radio station in Placitas.

Diane is lovingly survived by her husband, Craig Gibbs of Placitas, NM; and a sister, Rebecca (Scott) Feldt of Monroe.
