Erna F. Stalder

Age 100, of Fairfax, VA, formerly of Monroe, died on February 22, 2018. Erna was born on November 17, 1917 in Russia, coming to America in 1920. She and her husband, Arnold J. Stalder were the former owners of the Center Market and Stalder's Swiss Chalet Market in Monroe.

Erna is survived by three children, Arnold F. (Jean) Stalder of Monroe, Mary Ann Amos of Fairfax, VA, and Josephine Goodrich of Mt. Jackson, VA; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969; and her son, John, in 1971. Services will be held Friday, March 9, 2018, at 11:30 a.m., at the Lord of Life Church in Fairfax. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe at a later date.
