Glenda J.
"Chub" Endrulat
Jun 1, 1933 — Jan 10, 2023
Glenda Joan "Chub" Endrulat, age 89 of Browntown, was called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Glenda was born on June 1, 1933 to Glenn and Alice (Stettler) Hasse. She was a sister to Marilyn J. Hartwig and Geraldine A. Rufer.
Glenda was raised on the Hasse family farm in Monroe Township where she enjoyed helping with chores. She recalled a time when she found it hard to hold back the horses she was driving for her dad.
While attending Monroe High School, Glenda worked at The Chocolate Shoppe on Monroe's square. After graduating from MHS in 1951, she was employed at Wisconsin Power and Light. She was a beautiful dancer spending many hours at Turner Hall while being a loving daughter to her parents.
A family friend introduced Glenda to her future husband, Willian R. Endrulat, and they were united in marriage on September 20, 1958. The couple raised two daughters, Ann Renee and Mary Kay, and lost an infant son, Chris William, at birth. Glenda was a consummate farm wife as she and Bill farmed in the Browntown area for over fifty years. Glenda would work all day in the barn and fields and still managed to have meals prepared for her family and any other person who happened to be working on the farm that day. She loved to make candy which she gave as Christmas presents and many proclaimed her fudge was the best they ever tasted. She continued her family's tradition of making Bratzeli and her Special K bars that were brought to every funeral and family gathering. They continue to be one of her grandchildren's favorite desserts.
Glenda was busy off the farm as well. She was an active member of Peace Church in Browntown where she helped clean, served on the funeral guild, and washed dishes during many years of church suppers and funerals. During elections, Glenda volunteered as a poll worker for Cadiz Township. She enjoyed attending auctions, collecting glassware and cookbooks.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Endrulat of New Glarus, Mary (Steve) Johnson of Mt. Horeb; nine grandchildren, Hillary Phillipps, Casey (Michelle) Phillipps, Russ Phillipps, Joni Phillipps, Logan (fiancée Emily) Phillipps, Jacy Phillipps, Cort (Alyssa) Johnson, Cale Johnson, Carter Johnson; a sister, Marilyn Hartwig; and many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Chub. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill, on Nov. 9, 2015; and sister, Geraldine, on Dec. 29, 2017.
A visitation for Glenda will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. at the Peace Church, Browntown, with Pastor Scott Cernek officiating. A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, January 21, at 9:30 a.m., at Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Glenda's name to Peace Church or Agrace Hospice. The NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
