Glenellyn C. "Gege" Kammerud

Age 72 of Monroe, died Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe. Gege was born July 29, 1942 in Hazel Green, WI, the daughter of Murrel and Velma (Steinhofer) Floyd. She graduated from Benton High School in 1960 and married John J. Kammerud on June 30, 1960 in Shullsburg. Gege worked as a waitress for several years at the Swiss Wheel, Bernie's Drive Inn, and the Corner Café. She later was employed as a home caregiver by Homeward Bound.

She is survived by her husband, John Kammerud; a son, Bill Kammerud, both of Monroe; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steve in 1994; and brothers, Stanley, Bill, and David Floyd.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Bill Vasey officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
