Gordon S. Strait, age 63, of Albany, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at his home. Gordon was born on January 28, 1959 in Monroe, the son of Francis and Helen (McNamer) Strait. After graduating from Monroe High School in 1977, Gordon served four years in the U.S. Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1981. He was employed for several years at Radio Shack in Monroe and most recently worked as a communications technician for Windstream Communications until retiring. Gordon enjoyed model airplanes, coin collecting, and fishing.

He is survived by three sisters, Barbara Moore of Hixton, WI, Marion Halverson of Kenosha, Marlyn (Roger) Buswell of Beloit; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Raymond, Kermit, Stewart, and Keith; and a sister, Mildred Pester.

Private family graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
