Helen I. Stauffacher, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. Helen was born on January 10, 1928 in Brodhead, WI, daughter of Orville and Alvina (Zellno) Newcomer. Helen attended the Brodhead schools. She married Kenneth Stauffacher, on Jan. 10, 1945 at the United Methodist Church in Brodhead. She and Kenneth farmed for many years on the family farm in Mt. Pleasant Township. Following Ken's death, she moved to Monroe. She was a member of the Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello, WI.

She is survived by her son, Paul (Mary) Stauffacher of Colfax, WI, a brother Donald (Delores) Newcomer of Florida and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister, Laurabelle Bahe.

A private graveside service will be held at the Highland Cemetery, Monticello, with Rev. Lawrence Balleine officiating. The Voegeli-Newcomer Funeral Home, Monticello, is assisting with arrangements.
