Herbert S. Demanouske

Age 89, of Cottage Grove, formerly of Monroe, died Monday, July 19, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. Herb was born on October 6, 1931 in Monroe, the son of Samuel and Florence (Haeft) Demanouske. He graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1950 and retired from Fairbanks Morse in Beloit. Following his retirement, Herb was part owner of Chateau Beverage in Monroe, was a tour guide for the Huber Brewery, and enjoyed buying and selling antiques.

He is survived by a daughter, Lynn (Don) Kinzer of Beloit; a son, Herb Murray of Eau Claire; granddaughter, Kristin (Chad) Linder of Florida; sister, Esther Betker of Beloit; and his twin brother, Harvey (Lorene) Demanouske of Janesville. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Matchett, Betty Demanouske; and brother-in-law, Emil Betker.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Juda. A memorial fund will be established in his name. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
