James G. "JR" Roth

Age 77, of Richland Center, WI, formerly of Orangeville, IL, died on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at his home. Jim was born on March 4, 1945 in Monroe, the son of William C. and Florence (Schwartzlow) Roth. He attended Juda High School and worked as an over the road truck driver for over 60 years for Newell Companies, Millis Transfer, and Wood Equipment/Blount International. He was united in marriage to Janeen Grossen on January 19, 1974 in Browntown. Jim loved spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards and taking long rides with his Polaris Slingshot.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janeen Roth of Richland Center; three children, Jami (Kelly) Parr of Richland Center, Jason (Joy) Roth of Orangeville, Denee Benkert (Dave) of Monroe; son-in-law, Scott Nesemeier of Fort Atkinson; 14 grandchildren, Patrick (Marissa), Joseph (Jess), Austin, Caylie (Warrick), Hayden, Gavin, Kristen (Josh), Brandon (Alicia), Darren, Jonathon (Sydni), Kaitlyn, Dan (Christine), Ryan (Christina), and Jake; 14 greatgrandchildren; brother, Ned (Sharon) Roth of Brodhead; sister, Dee Jayo of Idaho; and many very special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie Nesemeier; brother, Bud Roth; and two sisters, Caroline Roth and Jean Rechsteiner.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 11:30 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 1329 31 ^st . Avenue, Monroe, with Charlie Erickson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
