Jerry D. Larson Sr.

Age 82 of Janesville, died Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Rock Haven Nursing Home in Janesville. Jerry was born on October 31, 1935 in Monroe, the son of the late Albie E. and Mary A. (Erickson) Larson. Jerry entered the U.S. Army in 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1960. He farmed in Blanchardville, WI with his parents and worked at pet Milk in New Glarus. He was employed as a Weld Monitor at General Motors in Janesville from 1965 until retiring in 2000. He was a retired member of U.A.W. Local #95. In his younger years he enjoyed watching and attending stock car races and was always an avid Wisconsin sports fan.

Jerry is survived by three children, Jerry (Laurie) Larson Jr. of Milton and their daughter, Kaitlin, Dennis (Val) Larson of White Bear Lake, MN, and Cynthia (Tom) Forster of Edgerton and their daughters, Emily and Jessica. He is further survived by a brother, Myron (Joyce) Larson of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Marian Gutzmer of Monroe; and a great nephew, Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 1329 31 ^st . Avenue, Monroe. Interment with military honors will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Blanchardville. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
