Kerrie Lambert, a beloved sister, aunt, niece, and friend, passed away on September 22, 2026, in Wisconsin at the age of 53. Born in Colorado on June 4, 1973, she later graduated from Crystal Lake High School in Illinois in 1994. She leaves behind a family who adored her and a lifetime of love that will never be forgotten.

Kerrie was the happiest person her family knew. There was a light in her eyes and a smile that came easily, especially when she saw someone she loved. She greeted people with genuine delight and open arms, was quick to laugh, and had a great sense of humor.

Kerrie was a fierce competitor, lifelong athlete, and a passionate Special Olympian. Whether on the softball field, the basketball court, or the bowling lanes, she competed with heart and was very proud of the many trophies, medals, and plaques she brought home. Off the field, she was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.

Being Aunt Kerrie was one of the greatest joys of her life. She loved her nieces and nephews fiercely and was a treasured part of their lives from the time they were infants. She did not simply watch them grow up. She helped fill their childhoods with happiness, affection, and love. She was incredibly proud of each of them.

She is survived by her sister, Tara (Kevin) Garry, and their children, Anna, Jack, and Grace; her brother, Mike (Katy) Lambert, and their children, Aidan (Temi), Kira, and Bre; and her late brother Dan’s children, Lilly and James.

She is also lovingly remembered by her aunts and uncles—Dan (Deb) Powers, Mike (Maureen) Powers, Cindy Powers, Jane Sarbaugh, and Kenny Schmitz—along with her extended family and many friends.

Kerrie was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen; her brother, Dan; and her grandmother, Lillian.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Victor Catholic Church of Christ the King Parish, 1760 14th Street, Monroe, with Father Chahm Gahng officiating. Visitation will precede the mass beginning at 10:00 a.m. Private burial will be at a later date in Crystal Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wisconsin Special Olympics in Kerrie’s memory. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
