Age 91 of Monroe, died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Graceland Manor. Leada was born August 28, 1922 in Wayne Township, Lafayette County, the daughter of August and Bertha (Olson) Larson. She married Wilbert L. Striker on October 14, 1944 at the East Wiota Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in the Twin Grove area and Wiota and Wayne Townships. Leada moved into South Wayne in 1992 and to Monroe in 1999. She has resided at Graceland Manor in Monroe since August, 2005.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and a sister-in-law, Daisy Striker of Monroe.  She was preceded in death by her husband on October 27, 1991; parents; four brothers, Harry, Freeman, Lester, and Melvin Larson; and one sister, Agnes Berget.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with The Rev. Luke S. Smetters of the Wiota Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials are suggested to Monroe Clinic Hospice or Graceland Manor in Leada's name.
