Lillian A. Piette

Age 93, of Monticello, passed away at her home on Friday, November 8, 2024. Lillian was born on August 2, 1931 in Exeter Township, Green County, the daughter of Rudolph and Bertha (Volkardt) Leuenberger. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1949. Lillian was united in marriage to Darrell A. Piette on June 17, 1954 in Beloit. She worked as clerical aide and medical technician for Dr. Harden and Dr. Aquino for many years. She was a long time member of Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello and the Ruth Circle. Lillian was also active in the Monticello Lioness Club and enjoyed golfing and traveling with her friends.

She is survived by a son, David S. Piette of South Wayne; and two nieces, Michele and Jan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell, on May 3, 1998; granddaughter, Rita Piette on Feb. 11, 1998; sister, Violet (Donovan) Best; and a nephew, Doug.

A celebration of Lillian's life and memorial luncheon will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Zwingli United Church of Christ in the fellowship hall.  Memorials in her name may be given to the Monticello Lions Club.
