Lorraine M. Whitehead

Age 90, of Monroe, died Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. Lorraine was born on February 25, 1936, the daughter of Charles and Edna (Levzow) Jensen. She graduated from Albany High School and was united in marriage to Wendell W. Whitehead on June 25, 1955 in Brodhead. Lorraine worked as a housekeeper at St. Clare Hospital for 35 years until retiring. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, camping, rummage sales, eating at the Red Apple, and spending time with friends and family. She especially loved time spent with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Penny (Scott) Bechtolt and Terry J. Johnson, both of Monroe; four grandchildren; and ten greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wendell, on April 26, 2008; and two brothers.

A visitation for Lorraine will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by graveside services at Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
