Marion Lois Braun, 90, of Monroe, WI passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Monroe Clinic Hospital.She was born in Chicago, IL in 1926, the daughter of Carl and Hildur. She married Joseph Braun in 1949 and they lived in Dixon, IL for 60 years, until moving to Monroe, WI to be closer to family.

Marion shared her love of the outdoors, camping, birds and sewing with family and friends. She encouraged service to the community through her involvement in the Lee County Sheriff's Association, the local food coop and many years as a Girl Scout Leader. Marion and Joseph were members of the First Presbyterian Church in Dixon.

Marion is survived by her four children, John (Jan) Braun of Lewistown, IL, Richard (Chris) Braun of Elkhorn, WI, Eugenia (Mark) Rudy of Freeport, IL and Rebecca (Dan) Good of South Wayne, WI, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Marion was preceded in death by Joseph, her husband of 64 years, her parents and her 3 brothers.

A service is planned for Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:00 am in Dixon, IL at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Spaulding officiating. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon, IL. A memorial has been established in Marion's memory. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
