Michael C. Hudson Schoonover

Age 58 of Monroe, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at his home. Michael, the oldest of 12 children, was born on November 18, 1958 in Prairie du Chien, the son of Clarence George and LaVonne Joyce (Cathman) Hudson. He attended high school in Delevan, WI and served in the U.S. Navy for seven years. Mike worked at various jobs throughout his life living in Milwaukee, Dubuque, and has lived in Monroe since 2014. He liked to bowl, play darts, and enjoyed stock car racing. He touched everyone's heart while cracking jokes just to see a smile. He was a master of many things including driving race cars and trucks, singing, and bowling. He was a handy man who devoted his life to God while attending First Baptist Church in Monroe.

Michael is survived by a son, John Hudson; a daughter, Amanda Schoonover; step-daughter, Teresa Green; four grandchildren, Cody, Matthew, Desire, and Carter; three step-children, Ethan, Trenton, and Gabe; siblings, Jane Copus-Rivera, Dennis Hudson, Rosemary Hudson, Joey Hudson, Darline Grinnell, Shayne Hudson, Misti Hudson, Odessa Heeder, Kristi Naber, and Chanel Colson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Melinda Hudson; and a brother, Duwaine Hudson.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 853 31 ^st . Avenue, Monroe, with Pastor Matthew Spoonhour officiating. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family. Condolences may be share at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
