Patricia Marie Gedden passed her gentle soul on to God in the early morning hours of February 7, 2019 after a long and debilitating illness. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on November 22, 1954 to loving parents, Wayne and Mildred Hoskinson with whom she had a close relationship.

Patricia completed her primary education in the eastern Ohio area as well as the Registered Nurse program at Ohio Valley General Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia. Patricia worked in many areas of nursing ranging from direct patient care to administration until the birth of her only child, Sarah Elizabeth Gedden (Madison, WI). During her nursing career, Patricia met and went on to marry Mark Gedden in 1982 after his first year of medical school. She was a constant source of strength and encouragement throughout the long medical training process that followed. She fully embraced her new role as a stay at home mom and remained a loving mother, friend, advisor, and confidant throughout her life.

To her husband, Patricia was his best friend, constant companion, and the brightest and only star in the sky. She will be missed more than any words could convey. She is survived by one sister, Sandy Snell; and three nieces all of the Norfolk, Virginia area.
