Priscilla M. "Penny" Wiesenberg
Age 78, of Monroe, died on Monday, October 20, 2025 at SSM Monroe Hospital. Penny was born on October 10, 1947 in Juda, the daughter of Willard and Zita (Stopka) Ammann. She graduated from high school in South Wayne and worked at various jobs including Pleasant View Nursing Home, as a security guard, and as a self employed painter. Penny was united in marriage to Nathan K. Wiesenberg on March 7, 1974 in Arkansas. The couple owned and operated Tri-State Concrete for several years before they both worked as over the road truck drivers. Penny was a former member of the Monroe Moose Lodge and had many interests including gardening, lawn mowing, rock collecting, fishing, camping, and making dolls and doll clothes. She was known as an excellent baker especially for her pies and banana/cheese cake.
Penny will be missed by her children, Cammy (Aric) Goldschmidt, Carie Rackow, Shelby McNett, Daniel (Donna) Wiesenberg; step-children, Debbie and Denise Wiesenberg; daughter-in-law, Candace Wiesenberg; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Bill Ammann and Randy (Rhonda) Ammann. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nate, on March 24, 2025; son, Nathan Jr.; step-son, Dennis; sister, Diane DuVall; brother, Robert Ammann; and sister-in-law, Katie Fry.
A service to celebrate Penny's life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Pastor Greg Douthwaite officiating. Inurnment will be in Saucerman Cemetery, Cadiz Township, followed by a luncheon at the Monroe Moose Lodge. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorials are suggested in Penny's name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The family would like to thank Monroe SSM Hospice, SSM Hospital, New Glarus Home, and St. Clare Friedensheim for their wonderful care and extending Penny's quality of life.
