Robert Hauri Jr.

Age 93 of Monroe, died Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. Robert was born on February 28, 1925 in Wisconsin, the son of Robert Hauri Sr. and Elsie Baumann. Bob married Arlene Kaderly on March 9, 1946 at the Albany Baptist Church. He farmed in Green County until 1967 and then owned and operated Hauri's Cycle Shop in Monroe for 45 years until retiring. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years and mowing his yard.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Arlene Hauri of Monroe; four children, Shirley Hauri of Menomonee Falls, WI, Beverly Hauri, Ernest (Priscilla) Hauri, and Robert D. (Deborah) Hauri, all of Monroe; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Hauri of Beloit and Alfred (Janet) Hauri of Albany; and a sister, Helen Sager of Janesville. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Fritz and Cecil Hauri; and a sister, Hulda Klusmeyer.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. A graveside service will follow the visitation in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, with Pastor Dan Krahenbuhl officiating. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
