Obituary

Robert L. Sinnett, 72, of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2024. He was born in Monroe, WI on May 28, 1952, to Lyle and Marion (Moser) Sinnett. Bob spent his childhood in Monticello and graduated from Monticello High School in 1970. Bob received an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology in 1972, and later returned to school earning an Associate Degree as a Mechanical Design Engineer in 1982. Bob enlisted in the Army in 1973 and was stationed in Germany as a Master Pershing Professional. After his discharge from the Army, Bob moved to Texas and worked on the oil rigs and also did freelance design. He later worked as a Design Engineer for the Steven Hain Co, an industrial machinery and equipment company, in Garland, TX until he retired.

In 1985, Bob married Sara Langston and settled in Mesquite, TX, until he moved back to Wisconsin in 2016. Bob was a Chevy man but could tell you more than you wanted to know about any car. He also enjoyed bass fishing and spent many weekends fishing with friends at his trailer on Lake Fork or taking part in bass fishing competitions.

Bob is survived by his sister Susan Sinnett, Monticello; brother Dean (Roselyn) Sinnett, Monroe; nephew Daniel (Stephanie) Sinnett and their daughter Brooklynn, Verona; niece Teresa (Chris) Moore and their sons Henry and Grayson, DeForest; aunt Carol Moser, Monticello; cousins Jane (Dave) Moser-Cox, Durango, Colorado, and Michael Moser, Monticello, and their families.  He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, William Moser; and a cousin, David Moser.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Pastor Kevin Butler officiating. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment with military rites will follow in Highland Cemetery, Monticello.  Family and friends are invited to continue the celebration of Bob's life at the Pink Heifer, Monticello, following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Bob's name to Badger Honor Flight, Wounded Warriors, or Quilts of Valor. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
