Sheila Lynn (Bacher) Edgar

Sheila Edgar, age 46 of Byron, IL, died on Friday, August 2, 2013. Sheila was born on October 24, 1966 in Darlington, WI, the daughter of Alan E. and Gloria J. (James) Bacher. Sheila and her sister, Cyndy, grew up in Monticello, WI, where Sheila took part in many church, community, and sporting events. She also enjoyed camping and vacationing with her family. She was blessed with two daughters, Melissa Carlson, born in 1984, and Heather Bacher, born in 1986. Sheila graduated from Capri Cosmetology School and worked as a hair stylist at Mr. Toms Hair Design, Madison Hair Designers, Intermezzo and Tranquil Escapes in Byron, IL, and most recently at Wesley Willows Retirement Community in Rockford. She married Jason Edgar on July 4, 2007 and resided in Byron, IL with Jason and step-daughter, Tessa Lambright. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Jaden and Quinten. Sheila and Jaden shared the love of animals and enjoyed taking special trips to the pet store. Sheila had a knack of finding humor in every situation. She had a fun loving personality and was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Jason Edgar of Byron, IL; daughters, Melissa Carlson (Davy Marshall), and Heather Bacher (Kyle Flesher), both of Monticello; step-daughter, Tessa Lambright of Byron, IL; granddaughter, Jaden Zuber; grandson, Quinten Flesher; parents, Alan (Gloria) Bacher; her sister, Cyndy (Bob) Carlson; nieces, Karissa and Julia Carlson; nephew, Isaiah Carlson, all of Monticello; dogs, Buster and Arnie; and cats, Sebastian, Sabrina, and Milo. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Otto and Dora Bacher; maternal grandparents, Newell and Cleo James; and a nephew, Jeremiah Carlson.

A Celebration of Sheila's life will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial gathering will also be held on Sunday, August 11, at 12:00 p.m. at the SMSF Club, 1010 Sandy Hollow Road, Rockford, IL.
