Shirley A. Drews

Age 78, of Monroe, died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. Shirley was born on April 19, 1945 in Monroe, the daughter of Burnett and Margaret (Glanzman) Kubly. She graduated from Brodhead High School in 1963 and Madison School of Cosmetology in 1964. She was married to Fred Feldt Jr. before her marriage to John Drews. Shirley was a hair stylist for 35 years, owning "The Beauty Shop" on the East side of the square and later the "Browntown Clipper" before retiring. She was a member of the Monroe Moose Lodge, the Browntown EMS and Fire Dept., and served on the Juda Dairy Queen Committee. Shirley was an avid Badger, Packer, Brewer, and NASCAR fan. In her younger years she played softball for Helland's Locker and liked to hunt and fish at her cabin near Lodi.

Shirley is survived by three children, Shane (Tracey) Feldt of Monroe, Traci Lincoln (Curt Nafzger) of Brodhead, Cori (Chad) Femrite of Monticello; three step-children, Doug (Lydia) Drews of Hawaii, James (Nury) Drews of Costa Rica, Linda Drews of CA; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is further survived by two brothers, Ron (Diane) Kubly of Brodhead, Curt (Cindy) Kubly of TN; a sister, Marcia (John) Elsner of Monticello; many nieces and nephews; and the father of her children, Fred Feldt Jr. of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Drews; and step-son, Daniel Drews.
