Obituary

Waylon Jon Buehl

Age 44, of Blanchardville, died Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. Waylon was born on August 21, 1979, in Monroe, the son of Kevin and Julie (Leck) Buehl. Waylon graduated from Monroe High School in 2000 and completed various courses at Blackhawk Technical College. He worked at Greenco Industries for 19 years.

Waylon was one of the most amazing people we have ever known.  He overcame so many obstacles in his lifetime, yet always seemed to stay positive.  Not only was he born with a disability; at age 29 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.  No matter what hurdle or bump in the road; Waylon would find a way to get through it.   Waylon always greeted you with a hug and had an infectious smile that could brighten anyone's day. He loved camping, fishing, attending antique tractor and car shows, taking train rides, driving his Allis Chalmers B tractor and working around the family farm.  He was extremely dedicated to his job of blowing the noon whistle and he loved helping Milt Babler in the Shingle Mill at the Rock River Thresheree.  Waylon was very social and friendly and touched everyone's life that he met.  We have lost a true warrior but gained a guardian angel.

He will be missed dearly by his parents, Kevin and Julie Buehl of Blanchardville; his sister, Belinda Buehl and her daughter, Aurora of Edgerton; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his uncle, Dave Leck.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
