Wayne D. Trumpy

Age 67, of Monroe, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Wayne was born on December 3, 1953 in Monroe, the son of Ray and Lois (Bruny) Trumpy. Wayne worked as a mechanic at various places throughout his life. He farmed on his own for a few years and for the last 25 years, Wayne helped out on the McGuire farms. He enjoyed fishing, drag racing, muscle cars, and reading. Wayne was known for having a great memory.

He is survived by a daughter, Holly Ard of Baton Rouge, LA; several grandchildren; his brother, Mike (Janet) Trumpy ; sister-in-law, Teresa Trumpy, all of Evansville; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jeff.

A visitation for Wayne will be held on Monday, January 4, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. Graveside services will follow in Highland Cemetery, Monticello, with Pastor Kelly Volk officiating. A memorial fund will be established in Wayne's name.
