William J. Hefty

Age 67 of Brodhead, formerly of Monroe, died Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. Bill was born on November 24, 1950 in Monroe, the son of Conrad and Margaret (Patterson) Hefty. He worked at Greenco Industries for many years and for the past six years has resided at Caring Hands in Brodhead. Bill liked music especially John Lennon and the Beatles. He enjoyed playing guitar and loved eating at the Red Apple.

He is survived by two sisters, Shirley Hefty of Brodhead, and Patricia Mader of Gratiot; a brother-in-law, Clifford Brown of Hot Springs, Arkansas; an uncle, Leo (Beatrice) Patterson of Juda; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Pastor John Tabaka officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, October 19 ^th , from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial fund will be established in Bill's name.
